Socorro's Monster Dreamcatcher

I'm sure most of you have probably heard of dreamcatchers, well it appears (at least to me anyways) Socorro might have one of the largest ever right in our very midst.

1500 block of NW Frontage Rd.

It's believed that a dreamcatcher changes a person's dreams by allowing only good dreams to filter through during the night . . . bad dreams stay in the net, disappearing with the light of day.

Hopefully, our dreamcatcher here in Socorro is doing a good job grabbing all those mean, nasty dreams floating around out there and only allowing the good ones through.

When you achieve your dream
pursue another dream.
That's how to live a life of adventure.

Sweet dreams Socorro.

  1. Great shots Tom.... I had to crush your "dream" but I think that is an old billboard frame :)

  4. Thanks BC... however, sorry to crush your view of my dreamcatcher, but your just not looking at it the right way. I recommend staring at these shots for a couple hours a day for at least a week. That should clear it up.

Sure, in it's former life it was a billboard, I can even tell you the last ad that was on it. But as you know with your own work, photogs don't necessarily capture the world as it really is... but as they choose to see it.

Besides, aren't actual functioning billboards just dreamcatchers designed to "catch" the hopes and dreams of hungry, tired and lost travellers?
